Canouan Airport
The Canouan Airport is the airport of the Island and it has a runway length of 5875 feet. There are daily flights to the island from St Lucia, Barbados, St. Vincent and Grenada. There are various places from which one can also organize private charters. Most of the airlines from North America operate flights to the Island. Airlines like Air Jamaica, Air Canada, Continental, US Airways etc all have flights from north American cities to the Island making it easier for the tourists to travel to the Island.
Shopping
Tourists can also visit the local markets of the Canouan Island and look for the local goods and handicrafts to purchase and carry back as memoirs. Though agriculture is the main sector of the economy but others are also developing at a fast pace now and there are the local people who sell goods like handicrafts for the tourists. The tourism industry of the state is developing rapidly and thus, many people of the local population have realized this to be a source of earning and thus, they have small shops from where the tourists can conveniently shop the things that they make and carry them back as a memory.
